We met Johnnie Long of Timeless Luxury Homes in the spring of 2014 when we attended his Tour of Homes in Mystic Shores. We were very impressed with his work and his team, but most importantly his professionalism and straight-forward answers to our questions.

After meeting with several other builders who work in Mystic Shores and talking with a couple of Johnnie's former customers, we soon realized we felt the most comfortable with Johnnie Long to build our retirement home. And we have not been disappointed!

Designing and building a custom home was a new experience for us. Not only did Johnnie build a structurally sound and very livable house, but, more importantly, he also has become a friend.

I lived in Hawaii when I started the building process. I was concerned about the distance during the planning phase but it went without any complications. I remember asking Johnnie how long it would take to build after we got started. The response was that it largely depended on me. Puzzled, I questioned that further. He relayed that many delays are caused by clients not making decisions in a timely manner.

Waiting for decisions causes the process to slow or even stop. I don't recall taking more than 48 hours to give him a definitive answer on issues needing my input.

He began building my beautiful home in February of 2012 and I moved into it the week of Thanksgiving 2012. I have heard some horrifying stories of how stressful it is building a home like this. It was not stressful to me, as it was a pleasure from start to finish. Johnnie has taken as much pride in my home as I have.

If you use any type of GPS, you probably can't imagine taking a trip without it. Unlike a printed map, a GPS provides up-to-the-minute information and specific direction, but a GPS can't do any of that without a precise description of where you want to go.

Johnnie Long, of Timeless Luxury Homes, became our GPS. We met Johnnie at our site in the Peninsula of Mystic Shores on a hot, humid July after- noon, and despite the weather, it was "love at first sight." Johnnie's welcoming grin, easy manner, obvious knowledge, skill and enthusiasm for the "target" we were trying to describe, completely took away all our doubts about building our forever home in Texas.

With a firm handshake, our journey with the Time- less Team began that July afternoon, and Johnnie Long's "GPS" abilities never let us down. The personal attention given to us was constant during the building process and continues on to this day.

Jesse and I cannot express how much we value our building experience with Timeless Luxury Homes. Many decisions were made long distance from San Diego. Johnnie was constantly emailing information and pictures, and providing us with every detail of the construction process. Because of our "Johnnie Long GPS," we were never "flying blind."

Our beautiful Tuscan/Spanish/Texas Hill Country home was completed in January of 2014. We celebrated with a bottle of champagne while sitting in camping chairs in our new living room. Johnnie literally went beyond expectations on many, many different issues. He always made us feel we were the most important clients he had, and there was nothing he wouldn't try to do for us. It's been a little over four years since we moved into our dream home, and that wonderful customer service still continues. A recent example: two of our outside security lights needed replacing, but we didn't have a ladder high enough to reach the lights. Jesse asked Johnnie if he had a tall ladder we could borrow. Johnnie came over and took care of it himself. This isn't the first time Johnnie and his team have taken care of something for us long after the closing. Relationships ARE Everything!

Jesse and I got lucky... very lucky... we found a builder who helped us focus on the next chapters of our journey. We found the right person to make a "structure" our "Forever Home."

After growing up in South Dakota, I attended Sam Houston State University on a Rodeo scholarship. This was my first introduction to Texas. I fell in love with the weather, the people, and the opportunities. I started a successful custom horse trailer business that I ran for several years. One day a buyer approached me to sell my business and made me an offer that I could not refuse. Now it was time to start the next chapter of my life.

I bought some land outside of Boerne, Texas and started looking for someone to build my dream home. My finance specialist insisted that I speak to Johnnie Long, with Timeless Luxury Homes. Johnnie and I met on the property and spent many hours discussing the home and my objectives, my budget, and my dreams for the property.

Johnnie was also very passionate about his business and seemed to provide the same level of customer service that I maintained in my custom horse trailer business. After interviewing several builders in the Canyon Lake area, we chose Johnnie Long and Timeless Luxury Homes to build our retirement home in Mystic Shores.

We had worked with a designer to develop plans for our custom home and then worked with Johnnie to make all the required changes and adjustments. We made numerous changes and upgrades throughout the process, including the addition of a guest house. This was a collaborative effort and Johnnie offered many suggestions that improved on the design and made our home everything we wanted it to be. All of it was easy from our perspective and the result was the realization of our dream home.

Building a home can be stressful and I can't emphasize strongly enough the importance of having a builder who is customer focused. Another point to consider is the importance of your builder possessing credibility when dealing with the HOA, utilities and the county representatives. Johnnie had all these qualities which served us well throughout the construction process.

As a fourth-generation home builder, I have been working in the custom home building industry my entire life. I started doing site cleanup work at the age of eight, trim work by the age of twelve, and by eighteen I was framing, roofing, painting... you name it. After these many years of experience working with my grandfather and my father, I started Timeless Luxury Homes in 2006.
